Steam Greenlight Spotlight – ECHO

Welcome to my Steam Greenlight Spotlight, the place where each week I throw the spotlight on a game currently in the Steam Greenlight process that I think looks good.

In the spotlight this week is… ECHO

What is ECHO?

ECHO is a third-person sci-fi adventure game by Ultra Ultra.

I was a bit hesitant about putting ECHO on my Steam Greenlight Spotlight, at least right now, because while their Greenlight page has an announcement trailer and brief description there is no gameplay footage or talk about what the gameplay is beyond “gameplay revolves around Stealth and Action”. That’s real helpful guys.

However I love sci-fi, the announcement trailer (check it out below) looks absolutely stunning and the little detail they did give about the story has pulled me in so much that I thought what the hell, it’s on the list.

The story description on their Greenlight page (linked below) reads:

“After a century in stasis the girl En arrives at her destination: A Palace out of legend, a marvel of the old civilization eons gone, still awaiting its first human occupants. Out here, using forgotten technologies, she hopes to bring back a life that shouldn’t have been lost. But nothing could have prepared her for what she’ll face in the ancient halls below.”

In the trailer you see En enter the palace and it looks like the fancy palaces of the 18th century with giant marble pillars and everything having gold around the edges so just what (or should that be who?) is this old civilisation?

Then just look at the detail in trailer. The graphics are fantastic and make the palace feel even more grand and splendid.

The release date says Fall 2016 so hopefully that means we’ll be getting some gameplay footage soon.

Check out the trailer and remember to visit their Greenlight page and vote.
