Welcome to my Steam Greenlight Spotlight, the place where each week I throw the spotlight on a game currently in the Steam Greenlight process that I think looks good.
In the spotlight this week is… Trapper’s Delight
What is Trapper’s Delight?
Trapper’s Delight is an action, strategy, puzzle game developed by Simon Davies all about placing traps in a labyrinth before taking control of your character and competing with your friends to see who can successfully navigate the maze of death. The traps include things like hidden lava pits, the classic arrow pad, hidden flippers, saw blades etc.
This game just looks like a hell of a lot of fun and I want it now, that’s how good I think it looks. It looks to be a good mix of silly, fun, difficult (frustrating), and competitive which are all good things in a game. The whole competing against your friends to see who can make the toughest deadliest labyrinth should offer hours of fun and falling outs. The multiplayer aspect should also provide hours of replayability.
The art style looks nice. It’s bright and colourful and very minecrafty (is that a word?) making everything stand out nicely and makes it feel a lot happier and nicer than it ought to be considering the aim of the game is to make a maze of death so complicated your friends can’t beat it and die.
I can see this game being popular on YouTube as people show off their traps and skillful runs.
