Steam Greenlight Spotlight – MachiaVillain

Welcome to my Steam Greenlight Spotlight, the place where each week I throw the spotlight on a game currently in the Steam Greenlight process that I think looks good.

In the spotlight this week is… MachiaVillain.

What is MachiaVillain?

A strategy, simulation, horror game from Wild Factor Studio where you build a mansion, raise monsters, set traps and kill! But only by following the Horror Movie Rule Book so only kill at night, when people are alone or having sex, and leave the dog alone.

When building your mansion you need to build a variety of rooms and furniture to help take care of your monsters, lure in your victims, and power your mansion. Some of the rooms on offer are the vampire crypts, for the vampires obviously, and the mad scientists labs because who doesn’t love a mad scientist?

Each monster, along with its different needs that need to be taken care of, have different traits, skills, abilities, and fighting style that will allow them to slaughter their victims differently.

Sadly it’s not plain sailing with just victims to slaughter, monster hunters and hostile creatures will pop up to provide a challenge.

There’s even a crafting system on offer as victims drop gold (for expanding your mansion), food, and other items and ingredients that can be crafted and combined to together to create horrifying yet useful items.

Why has this game made my Steam Greenlight Spotlight? Well did you not read the above? It’s a game where you build a mansion and use monsters to slaughter victims horror movie style, what could be more fun? It’s packed full of humour, its original and it looks like a lot of fun.

Release date – Late 2016
